At Cassidy Psychology we are able to offer assessment for a number of developmental issues that children may be experiencing. This includes Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Learning Disorders (e.g. Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia) and Intellectual Disability.
Cognitive assessments or intelligence tests are used to determine a child’s learning capability by identifying their cognitive strengths and weaknesses. When interpreted in combination with comprehensive background information, parent and teachers interviews, the results of cognitive tests can provide a profile which can assist with the development of individualised intervention and learning plans for children.

Comprehensive Educational/Learning Assessment
A comprehensive psychological assessment may be required when a child is suspected of having underlying learning difficulties. Assessments of learning difficulties can be intricate and complex in nature. The aim of an assessment is to unravel what may be preventing a child form learning to their full potential and to identify strengths and weaknesses. An assessment will also make recommendations for future intervention.
